THE HISTORY OF REDHILL and REIGATE SURREY

'A History of Redhill' (Volume 1)
written by Alan Moore, tells the story of the Surrey town from its beginning to the end of the 19th century when it had become a thriving town that rivalled and had outgrown its much older close neighbour of Reigate. The book contains more information than has been gathered together in one place before, sketching a picture of events that laid the basis of the town as it is today.
A History of Redhill' (Volume 2)
by Alan Moore, provides more information about the early years and continues the story from 1900 to 1925, a period that contained some momentous events, especially the impact on its people of WW1.
Originally priced at £13.95 & £15.95 these books are now only £10 each + £2.50p&p for one or £5p&p for both volumes, from the author

Alan Moore's Web Site www.redhill-reigate-history.co.uk
This website is the product of my personal interest in the history of the two neighbouring towns of Redhill and Reigate. I thought that by creating the site I could fulfil another aspect of my hobby and at the same time supply a small service to local people as well as ex-inhabitants who were interested in the history and development of the two towns, and to those with family connections or other interest in a subject within these pages. From small beginninings the site has grown (and is still growing) to encompass more topics than were originally envisaged. Much of this growth has been due to material and information supplied by visitors to the site and has been gratefully received. Whatever your reason for visiting this site I hope there is something of use or interest here. - AJM
